When I was younger reading these books, I didn’t like Snicket’s letters to Beatrice at the beginning. I thought they were morbid and just wished they weren’t there. Now that I’m older I feel differently.
There’s something to taking everything at face value, believing it, and accepting it without question.
Honestly, Lemony Snicket is an underrated writer. The way he fits words together is brilliant and each of these break my heart.
